Police Chase Leads to Accident on Church Street at Oak Street in Lodi

 
LODI, CA (May 28, 2022) – Police arrested two people after a police chase led to an accident on Church Street on May 24.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at Oak Street around 11:55 AM.
 
Based on reports, the pursuit began near the McDonald’s located at Lodi Avenue. Subsequently, the pursuit ended at the intersection of Church and Oak. Police said the suspect vehicle, a black Mercedes, struck the city of Lodi Police Department vehicle.
 
As a result, a police officer suffered injuries in the incident. In addition, the two occupants of the Mercedes — a 29-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman — were also hurt in the crash. Paramedics transported them to the hospital for treatment.
 
In the end, the police took the two suspects into custody. As of now, an investigation is still ongoing.
