FRESNO COUNTY, CA (June 30, 2021) – Paramedics airlifted two people to the hospital following a motorcycle crash on 5 Freeway on June 24.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Shields Avenue shortly before 5:00 PM.
 
Based on reports, a Subaru was going north on the freeway at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, it crossed the median center. Subsequently, it crashed with two motorcyclists head-on, ejecting both riders. Then, the Subaru caught fire but the driver was able to escape.
 
As a result, the man and the woman who were driving the motorcycles suffered major injuries in the crash. Paramedics airlifted them to Community Regional Medical Center. The driver of the car had minor injuries.
