Homeless Man Dies after Struck by Vehicle on 10 Freeway at Francisquito Avenue

 
LA PUENTE, CA (February 6, 2023) – Trevor Welch was killed in a pedestrian accident on 10 Freeway in La Puente early Saturday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 4:28 a.m. on February 4, at the Francisquito Avenue off-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol, Welch was walking along the eastbound freeway when a vehicle struck him.
 
When officers arrived, they located the victim lying in the freeway lanes with fatal injuries. They pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
Welch was 25 years old and was homeless, according to the coroner’s office.
 
It was unclear if the motorist stopped at the scene or continued on. Further investigation is underway.
