Man Killed in San Diego Pedestrian Crash on 805 Freeway

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 6, 2023) — A man died in a pedestrian accident on the 805 Freeway near Beyer Boulevard.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian crash happened around 9:00 p.m. Friday. Under unclear circumstances, a driver in a white Kia struck a man walking on the 805 Freeway at Beyer Boulevard. Shortly thereafter, an unknown number of other vehicles also struck the victim.
 
After the accident, the female driver of the Kia stayed at the scene and waited for the authorities to arrive. CHP officers had to close multiple lanes on the interstate for roughly two hours as they investigated.
 
Following an on-site investigation, CHP officers ruled out drugs or alcohol as a possible factor in the accident. Right now, officials do not have the victim’s name or the liabilities of the accident. However, an ongoing investigation should confirm more details.
