51-Year-Old Man Injured in Pedestrian Hit-and-Run on 101 Freeway in Ventura

 
VENTURA, CA (February 8, 2023) – A tow truck driver suffered injuries following a hit-and-run on 101 Freeway, early Saturday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on February 4, at about 2:30 a.m. A local tow truck driver was reportedly assisting the driver of a disabled vehicle when a second vehicle hit him near Victoria Avenue exit.
 
Emergency crews transported the tow truck driver, identified as a 51-year-old Ventura man, to VCMC for treatment of major injuries.
 
As per reports, the driver of the second vehicle fled the scene.
 
Officers described the suspect vehicle as a 2013 white Honda Civic. Investigators believe that the vehicle sustained damage to the front right bumper and front right quarter panel.
