Man Struck, Killed by Car on 215 Freeway [Murrieta, CA]

MURRIETA, CA (February 8, 2023) – A man was struck and killed by a car on 215 Freeway, early Tuesday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on February 7, at about 2:59 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, the man was lying on the southbound on-ramp near Clinton Keith Road.
 
The driver of a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado saw the man on the road but was unable to avoid the victim.
 
Emergency crews pronounced the man dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
Meanwhile, the 37-year-old Chevy driver remained and cooperated with investigators. As per reports, the driver was not arrested.
