Tiffany Haynes Dies, Alfonzo Star Detained in DUI Multi-Vehicle Crash on 710 Freeway near 405 Freeway

 
LONG BEACH, CA (April 19, 2022) — Tiffany Haynes died in a DUI multi-car accident on the 710 Freeway near the 405 Freeway transition on Monday.
 
According to authorities, the deadly multi-vehicle collision happened around 1:00 a.m. near the northbound 405 Freeway transition. For possible DUI-related reasons, 60-year-old Alfonzo Star crashed his 2002 Chevrolet into Haynes’ disabled 2013 Toyota sedan in the No. 2 lane.
 
Subsequently, a big rig stopped partially on the right shoulder and No. 3 lane before an oncoming 2018 Ford swerved and struck the big rig and Haynes’ Toyota.
 
As a result of a crash, 32-year-old Haynes of Los Angeles, died at the scene.
 
Shortly after, officers responded and arrested Star, of Lakeview Terrace, on suspicion of DUI.
 
At this time, reports included no information on the condition of the other drivers or why Haynes’ vehicle was disabled.
