Speeding Leads to Crash on Stockton Boulevard in Sacramento Killing 2 People

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (May 23, 2022) – Tien Le and Binh Nguyen died in a high-speed accident on Stockton Boulevard in south Sacramento on Saturday morning, May 21.
 
The accident happened around 8:45 a.m. at 65th Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, Sacramento police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on two cars that were driving recklessly and endangering the community in the area. Both cars led officers on a chase for about a half of a mile.
 
One of the cars crashed into an uninvolved car carrying Le and Nguyen, police said.
 
As a result of the crash, both Le ang Nguyen suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. They were married couple. They left behind a 5-year-old son and an 8-year-old daughter.
 
The driver of the speeding car sustained major injuries and was taken to a hospital.
 
The other car involved in the chase fled the area and has not been located.
 
Further investigation into this fatal crash is underway.
