Three Rescued in Rollover Accident on North Mollison Avenue [El Cajon, CA]

Residents Help Rescue Children after SUV Rolls Over on North Mollision Avenue in El Cajon

 
EL CAJON, CA (September 30, 2023) – Three people, including two children, were rescued in a rollover accident on North Mollison Avenue in El Cajon late Tuesday evening on September 26.
 
According to the El Cajon Police Department, an SUV struck a parked car in the 1700 block of North Mollison Avenue around 11:00 p.m. It then overturned and came to rest on its roof.
 
Several residents in the area heard the crash and rushed from their homes. They also heard the sound of children screaming coming from the car.
 
About six residents flipped the vehicle back onto its wheels. Residents then got two children out of the SUV just before fire department crews arrived.
 
Crews took about 15 minutes to remove the driver from the wreckage.
 
Paramedics then took the driver and one of the children to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

The other child was taken by her mother when she arrived at the scene.

Drugs and alcohol were not believed to be factors in the crash, which is under investigation.
