Car Crashes into Tree on South Union Avenue in Bakersfield Killing Three People

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (February 25, 2024) – Three men were killed in a car accident on South Union Avenue in Bakersfield Friday morning on February 23.
 
The fatal accident happened around 6:32 a.m. just south of Lamb Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, a 25-year-old Bakersfield man was driving a Mazda 6 southbound on South Union Avenue when he veered to the right. The Mazda then left the roadway and crashed into a tree.
 
As a result of the crash, the driver and two other male passengers were all pronounced dead at the scene. They were not yet identified.
 
It is unknown if alcohol and or drugs played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
