Three Injured in Rollover Accident on 5 Freeway near 8 Freeway [Old Town, CA]

Late Evening Rollover Crash on 5 Freeway in Old Town Injures 3 People

 
OLD TOWN, CA (January 1, 2023) – Three people were injured in a rollover accident on 5 Freeway in the Old Town area of San Diego late Tuesday evening.
 
The accident happened around 11:00 p.m. on December 27, just south of 8 Freeway. According to the CHP, a vehicle went off the roadway and overturned for unknown reasons.
 
San Diego fire crews responded and extricated three people from the vehicle. Paramedics transported two patients to UC San Diego Medical Center in Hillcrest and another one to Mercy Hospital San Diego. One of the three patients suffered major injuries.
 
There was no information immediately available on the names and genders of the three victims.
 
At this time, the CHP is still investigating the exact cause of the crash and factors involved.
