11-Year-Old Girl Dies after Struck by SUV in Fairfield, Driver Arrested for DUI

 
FAIRFIELD, CA (March 31, 2023) – Terra Star Jackson was killed in a DUI crash in Fairfield Thursday last week on March 23.
 
The fatal crash happened around 8:00 a.m. on East Tabor Avenue near Grange Middle School. According to the Fairfield Police Department, Jackson was walking in the area when an SUV struck her.
 
First responders rushed Jackson to the hospital where she remained in critical condition. The coroner’s office confirmed her death on Monday, March 27. The victim was 11 years old from Fairfield, according to the Solano County Coroner.
 
The driver of the SUV was arrested as police suspected she was under the influence. According to police, the 32-year-old driver also had two children in the car.
 
Further investigation is underway.
