Elderly Man Dies after Struck by Vehicle at Jefferson and Hobart Boulevards

 
ADAMS-NORMANDIE, CA (February 20, 2023) – Tecle Ande was killed in a pedestrian accident in the Adams-Normandie neighborhood of Los Angeles on Friday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened around 7:22 p.m. on February 17, at the intersection of Jefferson Boulevard and Hobart Boulevard. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Ande was crossing the street outside of a crosswalk when a vehicle struck him.
 
As a result, Ande suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was 76 years old from Santa Monica.
 
The driver of the involved vehicle stayed on scene and cooperated with police.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor. Further investigation is underway.
