Taylor Bustos Killed in Three-Car Accident on Highway 4 [Pacheco, CA]

31-Year-Old Man Dies after Crash Involving 3 Cars in Pacheco

 
PACHECO, CA (May 22, 2023) – Taylor Bustos died in a three-car accident in Pacheco late Thursday afternoon on May 18.
 
The fatal accident happened around 5:50 p.m. on eastbound Highway 4 where it overpasses 680 Freeway. According to the California Highway Patrol, Bustos was in a Toyota Camry that was stopped for traffic.
 
For unknown reasons, a gray Toyota Highlander crashed into the stopped Camry. The impact propelled the Camry into the concrete center divider and off a gray Mazda 3 that also was stopped for traffic.
 
Bustos suffered significant injuries and died at the hospital, according to the Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office. He was a 31-year-old Pittsburg resident. It is unclear if he was the driver or a passenger.
 
The driver and passenger in the Highlander only sustained minor injuries.
 
The driver of the Mazda, who was the only occupant of the car, was not injured.
