SAUGUS, CA (February 15, 2024) — A student was hit and injured by a car near Decoro Drive and Seco Canyon Road.
 
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the pedestrian accident happened around 7:40 a.m. Monday. Under unclear circumstances, a driver reportedly made an unsafe turn and struck a student near Santa Clarita Elementary School.
 
The unidentified student suffered unknown injuries, prompting medics to airlift the individual to a hospital. As for the cause, authorities said impairment did not factor into the crash, but the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Traffic Office is investigating.
