Bicyclist Hit and Injured by Car in Carmel Creek Road Accident in Carmel Valley

 
CARMEL VALLEY, CA (February 15, 2024) — A man suffered severe injuries in a bicycle accident on Carmel Creek Road near Highway 56.
 
According to San Diego Police officers, the bicycle accident happened around 1:30 p.m. Monday. For an unknown reason, a 33-year-old woman in a northbound 2023 white Chevrolet Volt made an unsafe right turn. Subsequently, her Chevrolet struck a bicyclist in the bike lane.
 
Minutes later, paramedics responded to tend to the 63-year-old bicyclist who suffered a brain hemorrhage, lacerated kidney and abrasions over his body.
 
Following the crash, authorities questioned the driver, who officers say was not impaired. However, if anyone has seen this crash, please call the San Diego Police to assist with the investigation.
