Three Vehicles Collide in Fremont Killing One Driver

 
FREMONT, CA (May 4, 2023)Steven Barnes was killed in a three-vehicle accident in Fremont Monday afternoon on May 1.
 
The fatal accident happened around 1:15 p.m. at Paseo Padre Parkway and Mowry Avenue. According to the Fremont Police Department, three vehicles collided at the intersection in unclear circumstances.
 
When officers arrived, they found Barnes unresponsive behind the wheel. Firefighters provided life-saving measures before taking him to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
 
Barnes was one of the drivers involved in the crash. He was 69 years old from Fremont, according to the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office Coroner’s Bureau.
 
The other two drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with police. Their conditions were not immediately available.
 
Police are still investigating the exact cause of the crash and factors involved.
