HAWTHORNE, CA (January 2, 2023) — A small plane crashed at the Hawthorne Municipal Airport Tuesday night.
 
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the incident happened on December 27th at about 6:30 p.m. An Embraer Phenom 505 crashed upon landing. The said aircraft went off the departure end of the runway near Prairie Avenue. Its tail went through a perimeter fence.
 
The Federal Aviation Administration said that the small plane was carrying seven passengers at the time of the crash. All of them were able to exit the plane, and none of them was injured.
