Officers Arrest DUI Suspect after Crash on 805 Freeway in San Ysidro Sending 6 People to Hospital

 
SAN YSIDRO, CA (December 22, 2023) – Six people were hospitalized in a DUI crash on 805 Freeway in San Ysidro Sunday morning on December 17.
 
The crash happened around 5:45 a.m. just north of Beyer Boulevard. According to the California Highway Patrol, three vehicles collided along the northbound freeway.
 
When officers arrived, they found a total of six injured people, two were ejected from vehicles. Paramedics took all patients to a hospital, four of them had major injuries.
 
One of the drivers was later arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence.
 
An investigation into this crash is ongoing.
