Fatal Broadside Accident in Ontario, Police Identify Shi Yu

 
ONTARIO, CA (September 22, 2021) – A man died in a broadside accident on Guasti Road near Cleveland Road in Ontario Monday, September 13.
 
The accident happened around 2:45 p.m. just west of Milliken Avenue. According to the Ontario Police Department, 40-year-old Shi X. Yu of Monterey Park drove a minivan westbound on Guasti Road when he crashed into the side of a semi-truck pulling out of a driveway.
 
The Ontario Fire Department responded and pronounced Yu dead at the scene.
 
There were several witnesses who were being interviewed by police in the area. At this time, an investigation is ongoing.
