Sherry Armstrong Suffers Major Injuries in Merced Pedestrian Crash on Highway 99

 
MERCED, CA (July 28, 2021) – Sherry Armstrong sustained serious injuries in a pedestrian accident in Merced Thursday evening last week.
 
The accident happened around 8:36 p.m. on July 22, Highway 99 at Childs Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 46-year-old Merced woman was walking eastbound across the northbound highway when a 2016 Honda Civic hit her.
 
As a result, Armstrong suffered major injuries. The driver of the Civic, 24-year-old Daniel Uribe Jr. of Atwater, pulled over and called 911.
 
Police said neither drugs nor alcohol are suspected factors in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
