Shefner Moore Detained in Fatal Calipatria Car Accident

 
CALIPATRIA, CA (June 29, 2021) — Shefner Moore was arrested in a fatal DUI accident on Highway 115 at Albright Road Saturday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 4:00 p.m. For DUI-related reasons, 54-year-old Shefner Larnell Moore failed to yield at the stop sign on Albright Road. Subsequently, he drove west, into the path of a Ford F-250 that had the right of way. As a result, both cars collided, sending the Ford overturning multiple times.
 
Unfortunately, the 60-year-old driver of the Ford died at the scene. His name has not been released pending notification of family members. Soon after, paramedics airlifted Moore to Desert Regional Medical Center where he was placed under arrest on suspicion of DUI and manslaughter.
 
At this time, the crash remains under investigation. However, if anyone has more information, please contact the CHP.
