Scott Maillet Dead, Stephanie Kramer, Samuel Rosenkrans Hurt in Head-On Crash on Highway 49 near Rincon Way

 
AUBURN, CA (September 28, 2021)Scott Maillet died in a head-on accident on Highway 49 near Rincon Way Sunday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal two-vehicle crash happened around 12:39 p.m. For unknown reasons, 23-year-old Samuel Rosenkrans allowed his 2001 Honda Accord to travel from the southbound to the northbound lanes.
 
Subsequently, his Honda collided with a northbound 2013 Volkswagen Tiguan, driven by 32-year-old Stephanie Kramer.
 
As a result of the crash, 37-year-old Maillet, a passenger in Kramer’s Tiguan, tragically suffered fatal injuries. Meanwhile, Kramer and Rosenkrans, both of Auburn, suffered minor injuries and received hospital care at Sutter Roseville Medical Center.
 
At this time, authorities have ruled out impairment as a possible source. However, they plan to continue their investigation to identify the ultimate cause of this fatal crash.
