Woman Dead in Accident with Big Rig on Victory Boulevard

 
VAN NUYS, CA (September 28, 2021) — A woman died in a crash with a big rig on Victory Boulevard at Odessa Avenue Monday morning.
 
According to authorities, the deadly accident happened around 2:13 a.m. For unknown reasons, a Toyota Prius traveling westbound on Victory Boulevard drifted and rear-ended a semi-truck.
 
As a result of the crash, the unidentified driver, described as a female in her 20s, died at the scene.
 
At this point, authorities believe she might have had fallen asleep before the impact. In addition, they found an open bottle of alcohol in her Toyota Prius. However, they have yet to determine the cause of the accident.
