Scooter Rider Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Pacific Coast Highway in Harbor City

 
HARBOR CITY, CA (March 13, 2024) – A scooter rider was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Pacific Coast Highway in Harbor City Monday evening on March 11.
 
The fatal crash happened around 10:20 p.m. at Vermont Avenue. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a vehicle was traveling west on Pacific Coast Highway when it struck the scooter rider.
 
After the crash, the driver of the vehicle did not stop to render aid.
 
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded and pronounced the scooter rider dead at the scene.
 
At this time, the identity of the victim was not immediately available. There was also no description of the driver or vehicle.
 
Further investigation is underway.
