Sandra Martin Sustained Injuries after a Hit-and-Run Accident on East Fourth Street near Main Street

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (March 11, 2022) — A 61-year-old woman identified as Sandra Martin was hurt in a hit-and-run crash on Monday, February 28.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, police rushed to the 100 block of East Fourth Street near Main Street at around 2:55 a.m.
 
Martin told officers that she was crossing the street. Then a dark color newer-model four-door Hyundai Genesis moving in a reverse hit and knocked her down.
 
According to Martin, the suspect stopped. Then he pulled her from underneath the car and got back into the driver’s seat.
 
The suspect then drove away from the area. He did not offer any aid, the Los Angeles Police Department said. Bystanders last saw the Genesis moving southbound on Los Angeles Street from Fourth Street.
 
Officials describe the driver as a Black man with a thin build, between 170 and 190 pounds. He is between 25 and 30 years old.
 
Medics rushed Martin to a hospital with serious injuries that needed surgery. Authorities announced Thursday that Martin was out of the hospital and recovering at home.
