Ryan Walker Dies in Dirt Bike Crash on Olive Drive near Roberts Lane

 
OILDALE, CA (February 19, 2021) — Ryan Walker was killed in a dirt bike accident on Olive Drive near Roberts Lane Tuesday night.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened around 8:27 p.m.
 
Upon responding to the scene, officers found 30-year-old Ryan Keith Walker with major injuries. Shortly after, paramedics arrived and ushered Walker to Kern Medical for immediate care. However, despite life-saving efforts, the Bakersfield man died from his injuries.
 
According to investigations, CHP officers determined that Walker was heading westbound in his Honda dirt bike. Meanwhile, a driver in a Chevy SUV began making a left-hand turn into an AMPM parking lot entrance. Subsequently, Walker approached the vehicle but struck the right front door of the Chevy SUV and flew off his dirt bike.
 
As a result of the accident, officers closed the westbound lanes of Olive Drive from Roberts Lane for nearly an hour and a half to investigate.
 
At this time, the accident remains open for investigation. If anyone has more information on this fatal accident, please contact the CHP Department.
