Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Car in Mead Valley

 
MEAD VALLEY, CA (January 30, 2021) – A man who died in a pedestrian accident Saturday evening in Mead Valley has been identified as 54-year-old Rudolfo Orozco.
 
The fatal accident happened shortly before 7:00 p.m. on Clark Street, between Cajalco Road and Johnson Street.
 
Orozco, a Perris resident, tried to cross the street while allegedly intoxicated when a Honda Accord struck him. The impact caused him major injuries.
 
The female driver stopped and called 911. Responding paramedics rushed Orozco to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley.
 
Orozco died four hours later at the hospital.
 
CHP officials are still investigating this fatal accident. Anyone with further information is asked to call the California Highway Patrol Accident Investigation Unit at 951-637-8000.
