MOUNTAIN PASS, CA (January 26, 2021) — 25-year-old Azhane McIver, of San Bernardino, died in two-car crash on Friday, January 22.
 
Officials received reports of the fatal crash at about 7:46 p.m. on 15 Freeway, just north of Mountain Pass.
 
The circumstances that led up to the accident were not immediately available.
 
One of the persons involved, now identified as McIver, died at the scene.
 
Officials have not yet released a report if there were other injuries or fatalities.
 
Authorities are still determining if impairment or speed played a role in the crash.
 
The cause of the collision is still unknown. CHP Barstow Office handles the ongoing investigation of the incident.
