Police Arrest Murphy Man after Hit-and-Run Crash in Calaveras County

 
CALAVERAS COUNTY, CA (September 1, 2023) – Ronald Bravo was arrested in a hit-and-run crash in Calaveras County Thursday last week on August 24.
 
According to the Sonora Police Department, the 61-year-old suspect from Murphy struck a pedestrian and fled the scene.
 
When officers arrived, they found the victim lying down in the roadway with minor injuries.
 
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.
 
Four days later, a Calaveras County Sheriff’s Deputy spotted Bravo near the Parrotts Ferry Road Bridge. They took him into custody for an outstanding Calaveras County information and belief warrant.
 
Bravo was later turned over to the Sonora Police Department and booked into Tuolumne County Jail. He faces a felony hit-and-run with injury.

Further investigation is underway.
