Two-Vehicle Accident on 15 Freeway in Corona Kills One and Leaves Another in Critical Condition

 
CORONA, CA (September 1, 2023) – One person died and another one was critically injured after a two-vehicle accident on 15 Freeway in Corona Thursday afternoon on August 31.
 
The fatal accident happened around 12:40 p.m. at the Cajalco Road off-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol, a pickup truck and a sedan collided along the southbound freeway.
 
The impact caused the sedan to overturn, ejecting at least one of its occupants.
 
Witnesses stopped and rendered aid to the ejected person. Corona Fire Department paramedics arrived soon after and attempted resuscitative measures.
 
Sadly, the victim did not survive and was pronounced dead at the scene just after 1:00 p.m.
 
Another person was rushed to Riverside Community Hospital in critical condition.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved are still under investigation.
