Robert Verner Jr. Dies after Colliding with Minivan in Barstow

 
BARSTOW, CA (October 18, 2021) – Robert Verner Jr. was killed in a two-vehicle accident in Barstow Saturday last week.
 
The accident happened around 6:21 p.m. on October 9, on West Main Street near Highway 58. According to the Barstow Police Department, the 48-year-old man was driving westbound on West Main Street approaching the highway when he collided with a Dodge Caravan.
 
Verner suffered severe injuries from the crash and died at the scene, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner’s Bureau.
 
The condition of the Dodge driver was not disclosed.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
