Motorcycle Rider Dead in Three-Vehicle Crash on 80 Freeway near Pinole Valley Road

 
PINOLE, CA (October 18, 2021) — One person suffered fatal injuries in a three-vehicle crash on 80 Freeway on Wednesday, October 13.
 
Contra Costa California Highway Patrol received calls about the incident on westbound 80 Freeway, west of Pinole Valley Road at around 5:27 a.m.
 
According to reports, a Yamaha R6 with a single rider collided with a GMC Terrain. This impact of the crash caused the rider of the Yamaha to be ejected from the motorcycle. Then a Ford Excursion with one occupant struck the rider.
 
Medics rushed the rider of the Yamaha to a medical center. However, he still succumbed to his injuries and died later that morning. Both the driver of the GMC and Ford did not have any injuries.
