Acey Cruz Detained in Police Chase Crash on Bear Valley Road at 9th Avenue

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (October 18, 2021) — Acey Cruz faces charges in a police chase accident on Bear Valley Road at 9th Avenue Thursday night.
 
According to reports, the incident happened just after 9:00 p.m. Officers tried to pursue Cruz for an active domestic violence restraining order. However, he led police on a brief pursuit, reaching speeds well over 100 miles per hour.
 
After running stop sign after stop sign, Cruz failed to stop at a red traffic light and crashed into an unrelated semi-truck. Subsequently, he exited his vehicle to run on foot but surrendered without further incident.
 
Shortly after, police booked him at the High Desert Detention Center for evading a police officer with disregard for public safety.
