Richard Mann Arrested in Fatal DUI 2-Car Accident on Highway 111 [Palm Springs, CA]

Richard Mann Detained in Deadly DUI 2-Car Crash on Highway 111 near Overture Drive

 
PALM SPRINGS, CA (November 21, 2022) — Richard Mann faces charges in a fatal DUI two-car accident on Highway 111 near Overture Drive.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal two-vehicle collision happened around 7:00 p.m. Friday. For DUI reasons, 39-year-old Richard Mann made an unsafe turning movement in his 2018 Chevy Silverado. Subsequently, the Chevy crashed into the rear of a 2006 GMC Sierra on the right shoulder that had run out of gas.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded to the scene and airlifted a 10-year-old boy in the GMC to Loma Linda University Medical Center and a 12-year-old girl in the GMC to Desert Regional Medical Center. Tragically, a 45-year-old man driving the GMC died at the scene. Authorities have withheld his name pending notification of next of kin.
 
As for Mann, he reportedly left the scene but was located later at his home and arrested on suspicion of DUI, vehicular manslaughter and hit-and-run.
