Ricardo Simpson Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Ashlan Avenue [Fresno, CA]

Rider Dies after Hit by Truck at Ashlan Avenue and Cedar Avenue

 
FRESNO, CA (February 2, 2021) – Officials on Wednesday released the identity of the man killed in a motorcycle accident in east Fresno.
 
The accident happened around 6:00 p.m. on January 26, at Ashlan Avenue and Cedar Avenue.
 
Police said 34-year-old Ricardo Simpson of Fresno was riding west on Ashlan Avenue when a truck driver making a turn into a shopping center struck him.
 
As a result, Simpson was thrown off the roadway. Paramedics rushed him to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
 
The truck driver remained at the scene and was cooperating with the authorities.
 
Neither alcohol nor drugs appeared to have played a role in the crash. An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
