Bicyclist Randon William Cintron Dies after Struck by Car in Newport Beach, Adriana Bernal Arrested

 
NEWPORT BEACH, CA (September 13, 2022) – Randon William Cintron died in a DUI hit-and-run crash in Newport Beach Sunday morning on September 11.
 
The fatal crash happened around 8:30 a.m. on Jamboree Road south of University Drive, just near Fletcher Jones Motorcars. According to the Newport Beach Police Department, William was riding his bicycle when a white sedan traveling south on Jamboree struck him.
 
After striking William, the driver of the sedan fled the scene without rendering aid.
 
William suffered serious injuries and died at the scene. He was a 43-year-old Costa Mesa resident.
 
Police said the sedan had a cracked windshield from the crash. They later found the suspect in the nearby Eastbluff neighborhood. They identified her as 36-year-old Adriana Bernal.
 
Bernal was arrested for driving under the influence of drug at the time of the crash. She also had a prior arrest for DUI.
