Infant Dies after Struck by vehicle in Southwest Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (May 3, 2023) – Presley Celedon was hit and killed by a vehicle in southwest Bakersfield Wednesday last month on April 12.
 
The fatal crash happened around 6:20 p.m. near the 12400 block of Southworth Court. According to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, the vehicle struck the 23-month-old victim in unclear circumstances.
 
Celedon was rushed to Mercy Southwest Hospital, where she died from blunt force injuries around 6:50 p.m.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
