Possible Injuries in Several Multi-Car Crashes on 15 Freeway in Pala Mesa

 
PALA MESA, CA (January 17, 2023) — Injuries were possible in a series of multi-car accidents on the 15 Freeway near Highway 76.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, an accident happened around 4:43 a.m. Monday. The first crash occurred when a vehicle struck another car, whose driver had to slow down to avoid a slower-moving vehicle. Per reports, a fourth car was facing in the wrong direction in the No. 1 lane and center divider.
 
Despite the cars colliding, authorities reported no injuries in that crash.
 
At the same time, a northbound car on the 15 Freeway struck a center divider just north of Mission Road. As a result, the driver’s car became disabled in the crash.
 
Roughly around 4:18 a.m., a two-vehicle collision occurred on the southbound side of the 15 Freeway. One of the cars reportedly veered down a hill, drawing crews to the scene to rescue the occupant. Just near Rainbow Canyon, one driver spun out on the 15th South Freeway and came to rest on the right-hand shoulder.
 
Information leading to what drove these accidents is unavailable. However, investigators will look further into these crashes to identify the factors. If any witnesses have seen this crash, please reach out to the CHP.
