NATIONAL CITY, CA (August 8, 2021) – Paramedics transported a police officer to the hospital following a hit-and-run accident in the 700 block of National City Boulevard on August 3.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened shortly after 7:00 PM.
 
Based on reports, the uniformed officer was on the road at the time of the crash. Then, a white-colored, four-door 2016-2020 Honda Civic came and struck him. Subsequently, the vehicle fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim. It continued traveling southbound before turning onto W. 8th Street.
 
As a result, the officer sustained injuries in the incident.
 
At this point, the National City Police Department is still investigating this hit-and-run accident on National City Boulevard. In addition, officials ask anyone with information to call the National City Police Department’s communications center at 619-336-4468.
