Police Search for Suspect Involved in Hit-and-Run Crash near 12th Street in Imperial Beach

 
IMPERIAL BEACH, CA (February 20, 2023) — Police looking for a suspect involved in a hit-and-run accident near 12th Street and Imperial Beach Boulevard need witnesses’ help.
 
According to San Diego County Sheriff’s Office, the hit-and-run accident happened around 5:00 a.m. Friday. For unknown reasons, a suspect crashed a car near the intersection but ran from the scene. Arriving officers began searching the damaged and abandoned vehicle, finding drug paraphernalia and a weapon.
 
Authorities do not know if the vehicle was stolen or how many people left the scene of the crash. If anyone has seen the suspect involved in this hit-and-run, please call the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.
