Police Chase Leads to Accident on International Boulevard at 35th Avenue [Oakland, CA]

One Arrested after Accident on International Boulevard in Oakland

 
OAKLAND, CA (July 8, 2021) – A police chase led to an accident on International Boulevard on July 3.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at 35th Avenue.
 
Based on reports, a car that was running at 130 mph weaved between the lanes on the northbound 880 Freeway. With the police, it exited the freeway and traveled into Oakland on 29th Avenue. Subsequently, it collided with a white sedan at the intersection of International and 35th.
 
It was not clear if there were injuries sustained by the suspect and the occupants of the sedan.
 
Finally, the car stopped on Fruitvale Avenue. Then, officers took its driver into custody at gunpoint.
 
At this point, this accident on International Boulevard is still under investigation by Oakland CHP. In addition, no other information is available.
