Police Chase Ends in Multi-Car Crash on Norwalk Boulevard in Cerritos

 
CERRITOS, CA (November 10, 2022) — A police chase ended in a multi-car accident on Norwalk Boulevard and Del Amo Boulevard.
 
According to news reports, the multi-vehicle crash occurred around 10:00 a.m. Wednesday.
 
Upon seeing a stolen vehicle in Lakewood, officers tried to pull over a suspect, who eventually led them through Artesia, Downey, Paramount, Cerritos and Lynwood.
 
The pickup truck was traveling at a high rate of speed on the southbound 605 Freeway before 10:00 a.m. Leading officers from Long Beach to Cerritos, the suspect exited onto surface streets where he crashed into an uninvolved vehicle at Norwalk Boulevard and Del Amo Boulevard. In addition, several other cars became involved.
 
As the suspect tried to flee the scene, he began to limp and surrendered to authorities on the sidewalk. An 18-year-old victim involved, identified as Elijah, exited the car and appeared to be okay.
 
Responding paramedics brought a second victim to a hospital.
