3 Hospitalized, Bus and Big Rig Collide on Highway 99 in Tulare County

 
TULARE COUNTY, CA (November 10, 2022) — Three people were injured after a bus and a big rig crashed on Highway 99 near Bardsley Avenue Wednesday.
 
According to Tulare City fire officials, firefighters responded to the northbound lanes of Highway 99. Just after 3:30 a.m., a driver operating a Greyhound bus rear-ended a big rig before it crashed through a guardrail.
 
In the investigation, California Highway Patrol officers learned that the bus driver did not respond in time to avoid hitting a 2018 Freightliner traveling in the same lane. The Freightliner was towing two additional Freightliner tractors.
 
Three out of 23 people onboard the Greyhound bus suffered minor injuries, including two who went to Tulare Regional Medical Center for an evaluation.
 
At this time, authorities have not confirmed the cause. Although, they have ruled out alcohol as a possible factor. If anyone has more information on this accident, please call the CHP.
