PETALUMA, CA (December 19, 2022) — A person died in a pedestrian accident near McDowell Boulevard and Baywood Drive.
 
According to Petaluma Police officers, the deadly pedestrian crash occurred around 5:51 a.m. Saturday. For unknown reasons, a pedestrian who appeared to have been in the roadway was hit by an oncoming car. Within minutes, paramedics arrived but the victim died not long after.
 
As of now, authorities have withheld the victim’s name until family members learn about this recent passing.
