Person Dies in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Alameda Street in Los Angeles

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (March 2, 2022) — One person died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Alameda Street and Palmetto Street on Monday.
 
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the fatal hit-and-run happened Monday evening near Skid Row. For unknown reasons, a 2000 pickup truck of an unknown make and model struck a pedestrian.
 
However, the truck fled the scene without rendering aid or waiting for police.
 
Soon after, firefighter-paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim dead. However, the victim’s name has been withheld due to the notification of family members.
 
At this time, investigators have not confirmed the events prior to the crash or the suspect’s identity and whereabouts. However, anyone with information should reach out to the Los Angeles Police Department.
