Person Struck, Killed by Vehicle on Highway 1 in Daly City

 
DALY CITY, CA (August 26, 2022) — One person was hit and killed by a car on Highway 1 near the 280 Freeway on Tuesday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal incident first occurred around 7:03 a.m. CHP officers received word of a solo-vehicle crash on Highway 1 North near the 280 Freeway south connector.
 
For unknown reasons, a driver of a Toyota Scion became involved in a single-car accident and stopped the vehicle on the ramp following the crash. Subsequently, a Nissan Sentra driver entered the ramp but struck the Scion.
 
From there, the Nissan Sentra motorist exited his car, but a Toyota Yaris entered the ramp and struck the Nissan Sentra, as well as the driver who exited the car.
 
Not long after, paramedics arrived and brought the Nissan Sentra driver to a hospital where he died moments later.
 
At this time, authorities have not confirmed the liabilities nor the victim’s name. However, if anyone has more information, please contact the CHP.
