Pedestrian in Wheelchair Struck by Bus on Orange Grove Avenue in North Highlands

 
NORTH HIGHLANDS, CA (September 15, 2022) — A pedestrian in a wheelchair was hit and injured by a bus on Orange Grove Avenue near Industry Drive.
 
According to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, the pedestrian accident happened around 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday. For unknown reasons, a Sacramento Regional Transit bus driver struck a pedestrian in a wheelchair in the 3320 block of Orange Grove Avenue.
 
Upon hearing the news, fire crews arrived at the scene and found the man underneath the bus. They were able to extricate him within six minutes, California Highway Patrol officers confirmed.
 
Following the accident, paramedics brought the man to UC Davis hospital for treatment of minor to major injuries.
