Two Hospitalized in High-Speed Accident on Arden Way near Del Paso Boulevard [Sacramento, CA]

Car Crashes into Pole on Arden Way in Sacramento, 2 Injured

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (September 15, 2022) – Two people were taken to a hospital after a high-speed accident on Arden Way in North Sacramento early Monday morning, September 12.
 
The accident happened around 12:30 a.m. near Del Paso Boulevard. According to the Sacramento Fire Department, a vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it crashed into a power pole.
 
Firefighters performed extrication for one person who was trapped inside the vehicle. Paramedics then took that patient to a hospital in critical condition.
 
A second person was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
 
The crash also sheared the pole in half, spilling electrical components onto the sidewalk and roadway. Power was knocked out to around eight residences in the area.
 
According to a Sacramento Municipal Utility District outage map, about 1,800 customers near the area of the crash lost power overnight.
 
The accident remains under investigation.
