Fatal Pedestrian Accident on 80 Freeway in Davis

 
DAVIS, CA (July 16, 2021) – A pedestrian died after being struck by multiple vehicles in an accident on 80 Freeway on July 12.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at County Road 32a.
 
Based on reports, the male victim was pushing his 2016 Toyota vehicle at the time of the crash. At the same time, a 2010 Cadillac was heading west on the freeway. Due to unknown reasons, it collided into the back of the victim’s Toyota. The crash threw the man into the highway where he was struck by a car and a semi-truck.
 
As a result, the man died in the incident. Officials did not yet release his name pending kin notification.
 
The truck driver did not stop at the scene. The Cadillac driver stopped and got off the vehicle. Then, a 2016 Nissan came and crashed into the Cadillac. No one was hurt in the crash.
 
This accident on 80 Freeway remains under investigation. Officials asked to call the CHP Woodland office at 530-662-4685.
